Left Base Instructor joins the FAA Safety Team (FAAST)

Lou Radecki FAAST MemberLeft Base Instructor, Lou Radecki, has gained approval and has joined the FAA Safety Team (FAAST).

This is a great volunteer organization operating under the direct supervision of the local FSDO. FAAST members organize, post, invite, and present relevant Safety Seminars at EAA Chapters, FBOs, schools, small airports, and anywhere where pilots or the aviation public is likely to attend.

Course materials may be self-generated, but usually are based on FAA provided PowerPoint Presentations. Safety Seminars are a great way to provide the aviation community with information that is relevant to pilots of all skill and experience levels.

Becoming a FAAST member is easy, and finding Safety Seminars is even easier. Just go to FAA Safety.Gov. This portal is the Go-To place for safety seminars, WINGS Program, free aviation knowledge courses, as well as finding FAAST members in your area.

Members also enhance General Aviation Safety by identifying risks, helping airmen by conveying good operating principles, and in some cases when asked by the FAA, providing remedial training to pilots as a method of avoiding certificate action.

Membership is not limited to CFIs or Aviation Professionals. Anyone that is serious about improving General Aviation would be welcome. It is all about safety and I encourage all to join.

Feel free to ask me or other team members any questions you may have.
