Emergencies and Unusual Attitudes Course

Fly the Airplane – Managing In-flight Emergencies

Practice our suite of fun and challenging scenarios that will help you manage in-flight emergencies safely. You’ll learn essential maneuvers for engine failures, engine fires, flight control malfunctions, and more. Meanwhile, you’ll get comfortable flying non-standard maneuvers and approaches properly, giving you the tools you need to get on the ground safely. Your training will include entering and recovering from unusual attitudes so you can avoid pilot-induced loss of control. Many GA accidents occur not from a root-cause emergency, but from the resulting mismanagement of aircraft flight controls in a high-stress situation. Lack of training often leads to loss of control when a pilot who has never learned how to roll and pitch the airplane within its flight envelope panics during an emergency and pulls back abruptly, leading to a stall or spin. Fly this Course in your choice of a  Super Decathlon tailwheel or a high-performance Piper PA-28-235.
