Left Base offers a Piper PA-28-235 for High-Performance Endorsements! If you want to fly single-engine airplanes or twins with each engine having more than 200 HP, you’ll need the logbook endorsement required per 14 CFR §61.31(f). Popular high-performance aircraft include: Cessna 182, Piper Lance and Beech Baron. If you’ve logged PIC time in a high-performance aircraft before August 4, 1997, this endorsement isn’t required – but this course is a great refresher before transitioning into a high-performance airplane. This is an accelerated course, so come with proficiency in stalls, crosswind takeoffs, landings and go-arounds and you can earn your Endorsement in one fun-filled day!
Key Steps for Success:
- You must be a certificated Private, Commercial, Recreational, or Airline Transport Pilot.
- You’ll need current PIC privileges, including current medical eligibility and Flight Review.
- You’ll maximize your learning pace if you arrive with proficiency in stalls, crosswind takeoffs/landings and go-arounds in whatever you now fly.
Our course covers ground and flight training for the Piper 235 operations, performance, weight and balance and systems. It offers fantastic useful load, speed and range, but requires training and practice to safely manage its large weight and flight envelopes. In addition, we’ll provide essential best practices for emergency procedures such as an engine-out glide. The enhanced judgment, planning and flight skills you learn will serve you well in any high-performance aircraft you fly.
